Our respiratory system includes nose, pharynx, throat, trachea, bronchus and lungs, it is a system where the human body exchanges gases with the outer environment. It’s main function is to inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

Yet, there are many harmful substances in the air which cannot be seen with the naked eyes. And, they have probably invaded the defence line in our body and destroyed our respiratory health. A group of data taken by World Health Organisation (WHO) in 2018 shows that air pollution causes approximately 7 million deaths per year.

Maybe, you would think that “If I’m not going out or probably cutting down on outdoor activities, I’d be able to prevent myself from these potential harm!” But, this is not a very practical thing to say either. Indoor pollution is equally detrimental to our health, and it is not that uncommon as you thought it’d be.

What kind of indoor pollution is there?

For instance, kitchen exhaust pollution. If you love to prepare stir-fried foods, the oil and ingredients would release many harmful substances under high temperatures, which may cause rhinitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis and other conditions. Long term inhalation of these substances may increase the risks of lung disease. The one who prepares the food naturally falls victim to kitchen exhaust pollution.

Besides that, many bacteria, mites and dust might be piled up in the room corners. Under unventilated conditions (especially air conditioned rooms) we may get infected easily. According to a survey, there are around 90 thousand of bacteria moving about per square centimetre, which is 100 times more than the standard estimation!

We may get allergic rhinitis and start sneezing when the condition is mild, however, it may lead to sinusitis, asthma and other health issues when it gets worse. It’s never too early to take care of your respiratory system!

Among numerous herbal plants, PhytoFairy has chosen 3 main herbal ingredients that are very beneficial for our respiratory health. Now, let’s find out what ingredients are there:
